NETWORK or NEIGHBOURS TAB PAGE (F2)

NETWORK or NEIGHBOURS TAB PAGE (F2)

If you have your setting as recommended, you should start in Hub Mode.

In Hub Mode, other words G2 Peer mode (A) you will be listed in Networks Page, making it easier for people to Browse (B) you.

Leaf Mode is the alternative to being a HUB and is where you are connected to a Hub/Server. Leaf mode will still work perfectly but some people may not see you in the Network Page. All features will still work in Leaf Mode!

Browsing People (B) is still possible on Leaf connections by locating the person in a Seach or whilst Transfering off them. See xFiles for further details.

A Friends List in the upcoming Shareaza new release will improve locations and browsing.

LIBRARY TAB PAGE (F5)

LIBRARY TAB PAGE (F5)

Sharing has two modes. Physical (A) and Organised.

Physical (A) is your hard drive structure that is shared. Add Folders to add to the share structure. Once added then you can multi select or single pick files (B) to be better defined (C). Defining files (C) allows for better Browsing and Searching. If you don't Define people will see your shares as a one long list, when Browsing, unless the client sorts by extension or tags.

The Organised Section (A) shows the way you have defined the files and how others will see the files when Browsing.

It's very easy to mass define by multiselecting files and changing the group properties.

BROWSING (off Network, Searches, Transfers, IP's)

Browsing People.

Notice how files are organised into categories as in the Organiser area of Library Tab Page. Also remember Searching is a better way to located files.

File imbedded TAGS also help in the defining.

SECURITY TAB PAGE (F7)

Rules for IP blocking. Turn on and off the IP/Mask ranges that your wish to support.

Top Rules get priority, so if a IP passes a rule before it gets to a DENY then it will be allowed traffic.
