Verdict Pt2.

Unread post by Porkster » Mon Mar 03, 2003 4:46 pm

Started a new thread and locked the others one due to being offline.
------------------

All I can say, is I'm loving this multi sourcing. It's good to see ISO's coming down at over >14 kbytesps. This is better than world eMule.

I hope people who had firewalling problems reconsider installing and checking out again. The best way to test out is downloading something you want.. and know there are multi copies of if you want to test speeds

My verdict is, thumbs up.

Areas of improvement, Friends lists, Group Chatting, Maybe a option to browse files as a harddrive physical layout rather then like eMule or Kazaa style. All these are not far off in new client versions, though.

Also people that have chosen to have heavy firewalling maybe cutting their connections down to other partly firewalled users.

Also the security is great.

yes the main thing i miss in the current 1.8.11 version is the ability to organize my files into folders.

I have a LOT of stuff shared, but need to "Folderise" a lot of the stuff, so that people can see which files they need to download.

Not just one long file list.
I see Stoopid people .. .. All the time

UberLeeched DC++ ratio 12.03+ increasing all the time, don't abuse what U take, and share it.
Otherwise I won't share mine.

so how many people you got on there now?

and are you sure when you get more people you wont get less bandwidth as more people are tryin to get the same popular files?
Use of undefined constants causes assumptions!

From 4 to 8 regulars. Not much compared to dc, but all is working fine and even with them numbers, if there is a file to be had the client is doing the job.

The biggest multisourcing has been IGI2 from what I have seen.

The multisourcing it fantastic, but the more people in the better. Some people take a little to get used to the system. We had alot trying eailer when there where problems and those people should reinstalled the pre-compiled settings version and try again.
