Simon Pegg is ace :D ....but as Scotty??

Hmm.... J.J. Abrams will need to hire Nick Frost as well. It just wouldn't be right if he wasn't in it as well.

That said... I would love to see the two of them make a Star Trek spoof :)

I had heard that the guy who played Dr. Carson Beckett, Paul McGillion, on Stargate Atlantis was up for the role of Scotty in the Star Trek movie. Always thought his Scottish accent was a bit fake and a little light for Scotty's more deep sounding brogue.

Paul McGillion was born in Glasgow and moved to Canada a little while later. That's why his accent sounds so odd. A Glaswegian-Candian... :shock:
