Couldn't think of the best title, but have any of you who have 512 / 128 tried playing both of these games at once, if so what speeds did you get on both of them?
Myst
Speeds with battle field / counter strike over ADSL
(I'm refering to locally hosting a game so maybe this is a little OT)
I've tried a bunch of times to setup a game of battlefield invovling:
2 x players on local lan, sharing 512/128 (dedicated server on lan)
2 x players externally
I've found once you add the fourth player it starts to fall apart.
Sometimes, on some maps, for a little while, the 4 player game works.
Sometimes, during 3 player game (2x lan, 1x inet) you get short bouts of lag.
I'd guess it's because of the huge amounts of outbound bandwidth required by the BF server. Maybe there is a setting to alter this at the expense of accuracy (like the maxclientrate setting in UT). Any one got any server tweaks for BF?
Connecting 2 clients through the one 512/128 connection to a BF server hosted on the net, would be a different story.

"Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."
