something i dont understand

Lastnight i was downloading some dirty pron
on shareaza and apparently it was coming down at over 400kb/s .
Though my meter said 160kb/s and lower most the time.
Use of undefined constants causes assumptions!

I think the lowcase b in kb/s is refering to kilobits.
Before you all flame me to death with ieee / rfc urls, I saw the same thing when I 1st installed Shareaza, there is a setting in General section to switch it to kB/s which is much easier to read and (for me) corroponds with my traffic graphs perfectly.
