Testing out some clients atm, used edonkey200, emule and overnet.
Overall it looks like emule is the coolest (graphs, extra features), while Overnet is the best in terms of raw download power.
What does everyone else think?

Emule.
EDonkey is to emule as DC is to BCDC++. Overnet I found too clunky and lacks some of the options I've come to know and love on emule, though I must admit I haven't looked at it for a couple of weeks. The emule developers also seem more responsive to user requests.
And the bloody thing works well, which is a godsend.

another client to try
I agree with johnd - emule for win32 is a pretty good client. However, I use mldonkey which searches the edonkey network, soulseek, dc, gnutella, xnap, giFT and overnet networks all at once (at least the linux version does). The interface (at least on the linux client) is kludgy and I can't say I'm a fan of Obective-CAML as a language but when it comes to finding and downloading stuff, its the best client out there (IMHO). There is a win32 version but I can't vouch for it - your mileage may vary.

True, I was really hoping Overnet was 'the one' and it is nice, but it just doesn't seem to offer the raw power [/url]of emule.
Now I remember why I was using emule:
