That's a horrible thing to do to his family. The people who watched are no better than him or maybe worse, in my opinion. What a shameful waste of a life and what a pity that he couldn't be saved in time. Isn't this the second report of someone having killed themselves after having invited an Internet audience, and the third where onlookers have watched and goaded the person? These reports make such sad reading.

While I do agree that this is a waste of life and a shame, I also think of it as a cleansing of the gene pool or sorts. Anyone dumb enough to do this should be allowed to eliminate themselves and prevent their stupidity from further polluting the gene pool of humanity.
