Police in South Korea suspect an exploding cell phone battery may have killed a man. The man was found Wednesday morning with a melted LG phone battery in his shirt pocket. LG has refused to officially comment on the accident other than to confirm the phone in question was one of the company's products.

"He sustained an injury that is similar to a burn in the left chest and his ribs and spine were broken," Yonhap news agency quoted Kim as saying. "It is presumed that pressure caused by the explosion damaged his heart and lungs, leading to his death," it quoted him as saying.
