Bought gta 4 for my pc the other day, and ever since installing it, my disc drive on my pc doesnt recognise any other games.

All I get is an error message saying insert original fallout 4 disc etc, this also happens with gta 4 and total war 2. Only managed to get gta 4 to work once and that was after the original instal, for what iv seen , im not impressed with the driving part, the car just skids about allover the place, not that im ever gonna find out if its the game or im just crap at it, cause my dvd drive wont let me play it again.

Anybody else had this kinda issue?

and the driving is totally different from the old ones
takes a bit of getting used to, but it's actually better once you get the hang of it

If you update GTA to the latest patch, you can download a NOCD patch from http://www.gamecopyworld.com, or wait for the next patch with apparently removes the CD check.

As for fallout 3. You dont need the CD for that, if you launch it from the fallout3.exe rather than the launcher.exe. :)

I uninstalled gta 4 hoping that would fix the issue and to get rid of the annoying gta social club thing that pops up all the time. (wish i had waited to see your post istik, damn)
But even uninstalling was a nightmare, i had to revoke the license and i have a code that im supposed to send to rockstar to let them know ive uninstalled the game, why ive no idea, and why cant the stoopid gits at rockstar not have a normal game that installs you play it without having to register for their social club and windows gamer live, before it well let me play it.

But it didnt fix the issue.

Where is the fallout3.exe and what is a .exe?

And anyone know why the cd check now affects every game i have, the dvd drive lets me play dvds so the dvd drive is ok.

And there was me thinking buying it for ten pound brand new at morrisons supermarket was a bargain, its destroyed my life, now im gonna have to do normal things like go places with the wife, nightmare.

I managed to get hold of the launcher for the 1.0.3 patch for GTA and it doesnt ask for the disk, but up until now, i've been using the cracked version, which works perfectly well. Nothing you can do about the rockstar crap though. If you uninstall the rockstar stuff, the game wont run. :(

As for fallout3.exe Right click your fallout 3 shortcut, and where it says Target: C:\Program files\Fallout 3\falloutlauncher.exe Simply change that to read fallout3.exe at the end.

A lot of people have problems with that copy protection bullshit with certain drives, which is why they usually remove it with a patch shortly after the game launches. Which is why most people use NOCD cracks from that site above, in the interim. :)
