Videogaming247 reports the PC edition of Assassin's Creed will be named Assassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut Edition, as it will offer content not included in the console editions of the stealthy action game (thanks Gamer's Hell). They say they've been informed by Ubisoft this Director's Cut will include "four new types of investigations."

Many PC games in previous years have had more content than their console counter-parts. So its not really anything new. Oh and faster updates with patches. Did i mention already, that 5 years from now, ill still be able to play it on my newer PC... I just like rubbing it in.

Lucky you dont own a PS3.
I wonder, if you will be able to play those games on the next Xbox, is there is one. I can still play games on my PC that I bought back in the 90's.

There are very few games id want to play too. Although there are often player made remakes of some of the old popular games like the
fallout 2 restoration, often with enhanced graphics and sometimes on new game engines. There there are total conversions of games, like the
BSG mod for Freespace2, which apparently totally revamps the old engine.
I know some games are also popular for their mods. Games like Jedi Knight Academy is still going strong with lots of mods. One huge one in particular is
movie battles 2. Then there is half life, or half life 2, which has lots of hugely popular mods, like the recent
Insurgency mod or the remake of
half life, on the half life 2 engine. Or the restoration of
KOTOR2 content.
Many of these big ones come with installers for PC, which just means installing the game, then installing the mod. No fiddling. How do you play those on console, is it possible to mod an xbox game like that?
