Worth $60 IMO...
Improvements:
-Squads are now capped at 5 per team instead of 4 per team.
-Weapons have been balanced.
-You can crawl away during bleed-out mode.
-Snipers are no longer 1 shot-bleed outs with the active reload.
-Grenades can be tagged against walls as Proximity Mines.
-Story is at least twice as long as the first.
-Shields make pistols viable.
-AI bots are have been added to multiplayer. (To fill empty player slots).
-Using the cover mechanic is actually viable.
-Weapons don't sound like pea-shooters.
Stuff that needs work:
-Add a true death match to multiplayer. (With Respawns)
-Some shots don't register on enemies while your character is shielded. (Off-center targeting)
-Cover chips away as it is fired on, but not on a level that makes cover fully breakable.
-Some weapons are useless without the active reload damage bonus. (Gorgon Pistol, Shotgun)
-Shooting people in the head with a sniper doesn't kill them instantly at long range.
-The pale white characters (Skorge and Kantus) are rendered in cartoony graphics while everyone else is in HD graphics.
-Voice actors have some pretty bad lines, characters sound constipated when yelling.
I'd say it's still worth trying even if you didn't like the first one.
Gears 2
Re: Gears 2
