TIME-lapse footage of a man trapped in a New York lift for 41 hours has become an internet sensation after it emerged after nearly a decade.
"After a certain period of time I knew that I was in pretty big trouble because it was the weekend," the victim, Nicholas White, said on ABC-TV's Good Morning America overnight.
Video of his October 15, 1999, ordeal in a lift in New York's McGraw-Hill building was posted online to accompany an article in the April 21 edition of The New Yorker

I've been trapped alone in a runaway lift and it's not an experience I would like to repeat again. I cannot imagine being trapped for as long as he was Poor bloke!
