I still can't help but chuckle every time I think of the scene in Trading Places where Eddie Murphy has his first encounter with a bidet. I had to ask my uncle (who is Dutch -- my real-life Dutch Uncle) whatthahel the thing was that looked like a toilet, but spritzed water a couple feet straight up. I was like, "Hmmm... it's not a toilet, and it's not a drinking fountain...." He laughed, and informed me: "This device is why most Europeans think Americans are unhygienic."
