Haha, nice rigs people. :)

Sooo, that's the hub server... hi there, honey.

Good images, but do you guys reckon you could have thumbnailed? This page is very sloooow to load.

Here's some pics of my machine setup before I moved.
ImageRecreation centre (including stereo and 1084S monitor on VCR)

ImageVery oversaturated closeup

ImageAnother closeup, showing headphones to the in-case amplifier

Sorry for the extreme shiteness of the quality. Pics were taken with a $80 toy digicam my sister borrowed. I just can't justify spending $500 for a halfway decent digital camera, and cbf developing film and scanning. :)

The PC was an elite gaming rig (once). Now it's just a boring old Duron 750, 575Mb SDRAM, 50Gb HDD, GF2MX400 leeching rig. I'm still trying to save up money so I can actually play half this crap I'm leeching.

Edit: OMG, no table code allowed? Grrr!
Edit edit: OMG fsking UBB code. Why am I not allowed to insert LF between code for legibility. Grr grr!

Who can guess the make and model of this machine? (far right, top)

(Below desk)

"TheSmoothWall box (TM)"

What's in the top and bottom 5.25 bays?

Posted: Fri Mar 28, 2003 5:51 pm

Top bay is the Asus "Ipanel" which is only really working as front USB at the moment, for somereason my computer wont boot with it plugged in for the diagnostic functions.
There is a deluxe version with Infra red, audio and game ports.
Its only for certain ASUS boards

The bottom is the DigiDoc5 fan controller/monitor.

both you can get from somewhere like http://www.auspcmarket.com.au or other places

Droste effect? Being 'iggerant' I unleashed google upon it.

One of the resources it's minions brought to me was this one

Try them - if you liked NetFish's these will take your head clean off. :D

Sorry to hijack the thread again, but I saw an ad based upon the similar concept.

You can either get it here (1mb) or from my dc share: \\psycho\multimedia\video\misc\guinness_fly_through.wmv

Pretty trippy, if a little lo-quality.

Ooh, what are the two laptops?

*grin* yea, I can see the DC chat going hard on the centre terminal.

What's with the two speakers on the monitor so close together you couldn't get stereo sound and the Cambridge (?) 4.1 system?

Posted: Sat Oct 18, 2003 11:14 am
by Anach
They are the center speakers. THe only ones i had that had long enough cables.
Both the side machines are 5.1

On both machines, front speakers are Altec lansing and rear are Cambridge. The mix of the bass power from the altec's and the crisp sound from the Cambridge make it sound awesome.

Lol with gr8 difficulty... Dont think the heatsink was seated properly from factory. It had glitches from the moment I put it in, did a re-install (to ensure there was no remnants of any nvidia video drivers @ all), that didnt fix it, we thought the modem mighta been conflicting with it (cos that's the only thing in a PCI slot) pulled that out, still had problems... and then it died... no signal comin out of either the DVI or VGA ports...
So I took it back.
