I'm thinking of picking this up today?

http://www.compucare.com/product/produc ... i0708.aspx

Been pretty bored lately because I haven't been able to do anything ingame. This pc I'm on now is just not cutting it. I have to zoom into the ground to combine 2 of the same resources to stack them when I'm unloading harvs and to actually put something into a factory is almost impossible! Anyways, I want to get something that will handle the game and upgrade as I can. I also want to deal with somebody local and these guys have always been cool to deal with.

Looked through all of the local electronic stores like Best Buy, Circuit City and this one seemed like the best one to take a chance on. Any thoughts?....

Currently i'd be more inclined to go with an Intel processor, though it's a close race and AMD are often cheaper. However one thing that stands out in that system is the lack of RAM. 2 Gig just wont cut it these days. SWG can use 3/4 of that on its own with a single client running and if you are going with Vista, then 2 gig is going to seem even less.

to be honest my first comp i bought was from best buy its a Emachins for around $400 and bought 2more gig of ram for it and a diff 7900 vid card and a bigger power suply just to play the game and it still lages so i use it for my ent and crafter.

my other comp i spent 2 grand on it has intel core Duo
mother bord is MSI P5NSLI
processor LGA775 coreduo 2.4 4m 1066
memory 2gb ddr2 667MHZ
hard drive 320gb satall
vid card nvidia 8800gts oc 320m ddr3 2dvi

tell u what un less its a verry larg pvp or pve battle with more than a 100 people there i dont lag.
I sneak in my own house.
It's four in the morning
I've had too much to drink
Said i was out with the boys
I creep in my bedroom
I slip into bed,
I know if i wake her,
I'll wake up dead

My new computer is coming next week! I can't wait. My video card will be a nivda geforce GTX 280. I'll have 4 GB of DDR2-800 ram. Liquid cooling system. I didn't get the top of the line processer to save a few hundred dollars, I went with a intel core duo E8500 CPU @3.16 GHz and 1000W power supply.

Noticed the ram too but thought it would be alright, but was going to pick up a couple more sticks to throw in it since it is so damn cheap now. They have another series of gaming machines with the Intel cpu's that were a little more money, but I've been out of the loop since I built my last one that I don't know what is worth picking up or not. I'm going to go take a visit later today and see what kind of advice they have for me. Most of the guys there are just computer geeks that are gamers as well, so I know they'll steer me in the right direction :)

Yeah, I don't think emachines were made for gaming but would probably work a heck of a lot better than what I got going here. I logged in a few times with my Dell at work and was able to walk around and check out vendors, etc.. but the fact that I was still at work killed the feeling lol. I know pvp or high populated areas would be trouble for it. Glad to see that your new machine is working out for you!

My best Napoleon Dynamite voice, "Lucky!"

Who did you order it from? Man, power supplies are getting huge!
