Anyone messed around with OSx86?

I'm thinking of picking up a HD and giving it a try, any uber nerds messed around with it yet?

Im sure someone will find it really useful for reading mail, opening web pages and umm ... did i mention reading mail?

From what I'm reading its fully functional Mac OS X on a x86 platform, it'll even update with the apple website. I've always wanted to try a mac but they're so expensive.
