As quite a few commentators have commented this is probably more to do with Packet shaping that trying to hide the contents of P2P packets.
Oth, its going to make the life of RIAA rather difficult, I'm sure we are all going to be very upset about that

Most torrent clients have protocol encryption now. Its just a matter of knowing its there and switching it on. The more people using it, the easier it is to get those torrents from other encrypted users.
