This may / maynot be causing the present shareaza problems. By way of a test, Porkster has remov...

Have a look at the system window. You'll see that a lot of connections are being refused or timing out. The population seems to be there, but you can't connect to them. wow what an explosive thread... I think i might go searching for a landmind or two myself... before I rant <-- it says newbie there, this post comes with a free grain of salt. if you dont want spam, dont give out your e-mail, proven fact Not a viable option for me, nor for most people. Re: something i dont understand
Lastnight i was downloading some dirty pron on shareaza and apparently it was coming down at over 400kb/s . Though my meter said 160kb/s and lower most the time. I think the lowcase b in kb/s is refering to kilobits. Before you all flame me to death with ieee / rfc urls, I saw the same thing when I...

(I'm refering to locally hosting a game so maybe this is a little OT) I've tried a bunch of times to setup a game of battlefield invovling: 2 x players on local lan, sharing 512/128 (dedicated server on lan) 2 x players externally I've found once you add the fourth player it starts to fall apart. (I'm in a posting mood today)
If it's still relevant;
get down the All Seeing Eye, http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/doc.html
OzForces, Internode, Datafast, and Jetstream run UT and UT:TO servers.
server populations vary a fair bit. The PURE OzForces is a good bet.

I have a dedicated Smoothwall firewall / gateway box. I opened both, 6346 & 20300, for UDP and TCP. I've also forwarded those ports to a specific IP on the LAN. For those people out there (if any) who are running a Smoothwall gpl box out there, don't forget to grab the latest update that fixes the r...

I noticed a sharp increase in obvious cheaters with the 1.30 patch. I'm guessing because of the widely known hole DICE left allowing people to TAG you through solid objects. 1.31 fixed this. Since NS pings came good last night I played for a few hours and was whooping again well comparativly.... I d...
